Are you asking about the Malibu or the Impala?
While the Malibu exists for the 2020 model year, the Impala does not.

Manufacturers have to follow current fuel economy "average" rules for their production cars. Manufacturers can increase fuel economy by installing a lighter engine producing about the same power.
