Do you know what a progressive tax is?

Do you know the history of progressive taxation in America?

Trump supporters do not. So hopefully this will be an opportunity to educate them.

Update:

Funny how all you conservative suddenly have a deep understanding if what a progressive tax is yet you keep asking moronic questions like "what are you going to do when Bernie taxes 90% of your income" are you that ignorant or are you just hoping the rest of America is?

Yes, I do. They progressive tax starts out small fulfilling it's purpose of more well off people paying a higher percentage of tax than lose who make less. However, progressive taxes always spin out of control, the rate increases and increases, with the Progressives thinking the rich have infinite money to burn and don't deserve the money they have make and earned.

As for the 90% tax rate, the median high end tax rate HAS been 90% during and after WWII. JFK understood it needed to be lowered and it was. The tax rate was also 70% after WWI. When it was lowered by Harding/Coolidge to 25% it kicked off the economic boom of the Roaring 1920's. Taxes creeped up to 70% until Reagan lowered them to 28%, kicking off another economic boom.

While tax rates have been 50%-90% they often come with any number of exceptions, write-offs and such, Progressive tout as making them more fair (if you spend YOUR money they way the government wants you too). That still throws a wet towel on economic prosperity.

I think YOU are the one that needs an education of progressive taxation.

    Sure do.

Started out at only 1 percent. Under Wilson the top rate hit 75% within 5 years. And it has been used for social engineering more than for actual revenue ever sence it was initiated. G. Edward Griffin showed that in his book "Creature from Jekyll island" ( primarily about the Federal reserve which was created about the same time as the Prog. tax system).

Most people think our current progressive income tax came from the 16th amendment. It was actually already on the books. A bill in 1909 called the Corporation excise tax act" referred to the profits of corporations as "income".

Need any more education, look it up (use reliable sources of course)

Karl Marx invented the graduated income tax. That's history you don't like, that's your predecessor.

Progressive taxation is a system where higher wage earners get more of their property stolen by the government.
