Typically in their late 60s or early to mid 70s.

I was there in 1968 (January), age 18, born in 1949 (February) just had my 71st BDay.  BTW- the youngest Marine KIA was either 15 or 16. He had falsified his Birth Certificate to join the Corps. May he rest in peace forever, Semper Fi my brother!!

"Of the 2,709,918 Americans who have served in Vietnam, it is estimated that fewer than 850,000 live today and the youngest veteran of Vietnam is 54 years old." How does it feel to be among the last third of all Vietnam veterans who have served in Vietnam to be alive?

    As a quick approximation guide:

    Aged 18 during the war

    War ended 1970

It is now 2020, 50 years later

    add 50 to 18 = 68years old now

    Let's say they were 20 in 1975, they'd be 65 now.

born in 1960, the war ended after 13 years... 1973 USA quit. at 18, 1955 would be the youngest- 65 years. Most likely 70-75 is the age range.

put math and common sense to the question. We'll help you figger it out.
