I completely understand how you feel. I am 25 and since I was 14 I have been feeling anxious about growing old and...I still feel this way. Unfortunately my worrying hasn't gone away.

Please please please do no put yourself through this. There is absolutely no point worrying because unfortunately we will grow old no matter how we feel so we should try to enjoy life.

Here are my advice:

1) Start to get 9hrs sleep, exercise regularly (try jogging and yoga), meditate daily, eat healthy food and cut out on junk food, delete social media/cut back on the amount of time you use the internet/watch TV, start journaling regularly and always show gratitude/feed your brain with positive thoughts even if you always feel negative.

2) Make yourself some goals.

Work hard in your education, read lots of books, volunteer, always make time for yourself to have fun

3) Always try to put away £200 in savings every month

4) Travel

5) Take up new hobbies, volunteer, read, learn to cook, learn to garden.

If you go out of your way to follow these rules then you won't have any regrets in your life and you will feel comfortable about growing old. BECAUSE you know you've lived your life.

Who says being in your 20's will be the best years of your life?  Believe me, it's fun having virtually no responsibilities, but after a few years of mixing full time work, with socialising in the evening, it all becomes a bit boring and expensive.

I wouldn't worry about missing anything.  Finding a brilliant person to share your adult life with, is far more amazing than partying.  However, you'll never meet someone special if you never leave your house or your so depressed, you won't even notice them.  Get out there and join some groups and meet lot's of different people and get some life experience.

21 is very young, stop worrying over nothing.

you are too young to know what the best time of your life is. If you ask yourself this in 70 or 80 years I think you will most likely have a different opinion.

this is the result of boomers ruining the world for their own greed. when they were young they did cocaine, heroin, broke laws, did all kinds of bad things and now that they arent young anymore they decide the younger generations cant have fun now. they had infinite job creation and now that they have taken all of the high up positions they refuse to hire you even as a cashier unless you have 7 years of experience, 24 doctorates, and you need 329 recommendations before they consider the application. also the job is minimum wage and you get no insurance or other benefits. boomers voted for the presidents who would lower their taxes at the cost of national infrastructure and social services, leaving nothing but deforested lands and crumbling buildings for future generations. they have caused permanent damage to the planet all in the name of their own narcissism. with everything  theyve done its no doubt that nearly everyone these days has depression. and now they are tearing the usa apart politically due to their strong support for the two party system which the founding fathers warned would lead to the downfall of the country. but they simply dont care. they do what they want even if it harms the whole rest of the planet.

At the ages of 21-25 the World is your oyster. You are no longer a teenager, you should have a degree of financial independence and yet  still young enough to live a carefree, (relatively) responsibility free life.
