Hey seniors! we seem to be in prime target for getting the virus?

I'm not doing anything different, except washing my hands more often.  And I have 3 weeks of stockpiled foods, in case I am quarantined.  

I live in a senior's subsidized apartment  building of over 300 suites ... if it gets i here, no one will be guaranteed of safety.

But I don't dwell on it.  I either catch it or I don't. If I catch it, I either die of it or I don't.  

While I wish to live healthy and long and enjoy life, dying of Covid-19 is a lot less harsh than taking an agonizing year to die of cancer. And the older we get, the more body-things go wrong with us, so living a LONG time is not as desirable at age 85 as it was at age 25.

It will be what it will be.

my best wishes for your future. you are only doing what every sensible person does as normal routine, especially washing hands after the toilet. soap is better than any handwash or sanitizer. use face mask over nose and mouth if you can get medically approved ones. i have family in asia too. make arrangements with friends, community or church circle to keep an eye on your home so that they'll knock/check if curtains not opened or sos in window?

I am not worrying about the virus at the moment although there have been reported cases here in the UK.  I always wash my hands properly and tend to make sure that I am not touching anything disgusting enough to give me germs.

I am not avoiding anybody I am still going about my normal day and doing my normal shopping. I am not a person who panics, but if things get worse then I shall isolate myself as the Health Authorities have suggested and follow their guidelines.

Stay out of Walmart until it blows over. Especially where Mexicans are prevalent. They let their kids fondle everything in sight and don't stay home when they are sick!

I know, and it is worrying.   We are both type 2 Diabetic and my husband, now in his early 80s, asthmatic.   We have been washing hands, especially after handing shopping trolleys, for some time now, even before Coronavirus but thankfully we don't need to go to many crowded places these days.  I suppose what will be, will be!!  UK

The best anyone can do is follow the advice of local health authorities. There's no sense in creating a panic or being overly concerned.

I always thoroughly wash my hands.  I am occasionally in a crowd.  I feel that the risk is minimal where I live.  For now.  I will be aware of my surroundings.  I agree that the flu is more of a risk.  I got the flu shot.

If I lived in Thailand I might be more concerned as you are.

I'm doing nothing at all. I don't fall for the propaganda and I'm not going to live in fear. I'm happy I received my flu shot, that's the real killer.
