IT IS NOT EXACTLY LIES. A PRESIDENT MAKES ELECTION STATEMENTS AND PROPOSALS THAT HE WOULD PUT IN PLACE WHEN HE GETS THERE, BUT WHEN HE DOES HE IS OFTEN STYMIED BY THE OPPOSITION AND THEIR POWER THAT IS OFTEN AGAINST HIM TO PUT THEM IN PLACE.

Of course not, they all promise a million things, fortunately some Presidents keep some of them. Most, however, keep basically none.

George Washington to John Quincy Adams. I think Andrew Jackson was the first 'politician'. Prior to him, there was none of this political BS. This is also about the point when 'politician' started to become a profession that it was never intended to be. The Constitution should have included term limits from the start.

No. But Trump has definitely been in the top 5 for transparency. He has no hidden agendas and has kept more campaign promises than any president in the last 50 years. Maybe in the last 100.

    Not a president , but a prime minister .

When Churchill came to power in 1940, he said --"I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering."

    Which comes close ,methinks.

I don't believe so, every president has told a lie I'm certain.

No..  however it's also "expectation vs reality"...

The president cannot do whatever he/she wants...  they have to have a approval from congress and the senate for many things.

All presidents lie occasionally. Trump tells the truth occasionally.

I suspect that President Trump will have a greater impact after we hand his party the House back for his second term.  That's when America will really be great.

    No

But this one is the first to have lied about EVERYTHING!
