Those weapons represent the ongoing 'threat' at the basis of the 'antichrist' movement, (1 John 2:18-23, 4:3, 2 John 1:7, etc...), and its false doctrines about the nonexistence of GOD and denials of the total authority of Christ, (Matthew 28:18).

They also represent the culmination of the 'abomination of desolation' pattern, which was once represented by an idol and evil religious system of worship set up inside the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem which set off a revolt and subsequent destruction of the Temple by the Romans in 70 A.D.

Unless historical patterns are specifically ended by GOD, they 'grow' and then recur, like seeds becoming trees and trees becoming forests. So this 'idol' and its system of worship has become the systems of modern incendiary warfare predicted in scripture to arrive along with a 'talking idol' capable of speaking like men and commanded when fire should be dropped upon their heads, (Revelation 13). This 'talking idol' is what modern people call the 'supercomputer' which now guides our warfare systems, including nuclear weapons.

In the new pattern, the 'Temple of GOD' is now the Church of Jesus Christ, (1 Corinthians 3:16), and when this 'talking idol' and its system of worship fully permeates the Church Body using the leverage of its 'threats of mass destruction,' the related Biblical prophecies will be fulfilled and GOD's predicted response will be swift and sure, ending this threat Himself with the revelation of His currently 'hidden' heaven, His superior pre-existing technologies, (upon which current 'high technology' is based), and His government.

This event is known as the 'appearing.' It precedes Christ's actual physical return and will usher in an era of Christian authority and power that will help prepare the world for His physical return and reign. Scripture describes a community actually living 'in the air' above the earth during this era, (1 Thessalonians 4:17). We are among the first generations who can actually imagine such an event  because of the advance of technology and human knowledge.

Jehovah God rejected the Jewish nation as His chosen people since they rejected His Son Jesus as the Messianic King and, therefore, Jerusalem is no longer the center of pure worship of Jehovah God-Matt 23:37,38 jw.org
