Is it possible I'm pregnant?

I hooked up with a guy after a party over 2 weeks ago. My period is currently 3 days late, about to go on 4. I went to the doctor's office and took a pregnancy test and it came out negative, however i'm wondering if it's a false negative. My period is very rarely more than 2 days late and and the fact that it's suddenly late the month that i hooked up is really concerning to me, because i had been single af for many months on end before, and had a very regular period before. My period is usually very punctual and like clockwork, i keep track of it through an app and most months it's either on the dot or maybe a day early/late. I'd also like to mention that i can usually tell when i'm about to get my period several hours before i start bleeding through and i havent felt anything and it's currently day three. idk what to think. I'm thinking of getting a second pregnancy test tonight and taking the test tomorrow morning. Is it possible that it still won't detect HCG? Or does it sound like my period is just late?
