Once we have control of the corona virus. It could be a long time. Maybe not even until January 2021. My hope is that they will all survive and we can live like we used to and freely visit pubs and restaurants. My fear is that some will go under and close or that inflation will change our lifestyle.

They are not being forced to close, they are doing so of their own volition at least in the UK. Maybe they have so many franchised out now they are worried small businesses cannot survive any costs right now because each location became a small business when sold. The situation will be reviewed in three weeks but only reviewed, it could go on longer and they don't think it's worth staying open just to do take out and delivery. Your guess is as good as mine.

Soon after the shelter at home orders are lifted, many if not most will reopen and it should be noted that many restaurants are still open for take out orders.
