Probably both are correct. The CDC figures are for the USA only. WHO's numbers are for the WORLD. Both figures are already outdated. The fatality rate for the world is higher than fatality rate for the USA, which is increasing and probably will continue to increase.

Well the CDC is an American organisation, or is also used for some national organisations in certain countries.
While the World Health Organisation is getting data from around the world, so I think their number is likely to be more accurate.
