Should you tip when doing carryout at a restaurant?

Not during this pandemic when employees are bringing food to your car for pickup outside, but during normal times when restaurants were all open? When you do a phone order and then pick it up inside?

It is not required to tip for carry-out or to tip an owner of an establishment.

I always do. If someone had to work on my behalf, then yeah, I feel it's right to tip.

I'd say that if they bring food to your car, yeah, a $ would be nice.  They MAY not be allowed to take tips, though.  For a place that's usually got wait staff, but now delivers to your car, a buck or 2 would be nice.
