What do I need to run GTA V?
Hi! So I have an old Dell Optiplex 755 tower that I want to upgrade to a gaming computer, I don’t know anything about computers but here are the specs to my computer in the attached photo compared to what I need to run the game. I want to be able to run the game at least 1080p 60FPS. What do I need to buy in order to do that? (Keep as cheap as possible) thank you :)

Well you need a video card, your CPU is deficient, and and you need more Hard Drive space.
If your system has a 300w power supply then cards like the GTX 1050 or GTX 750ti would suffice. Beware, because there are a lot of Chinese counterfeit GTX cards on the market being sold for really low prices. However we don't know which exact motherboard you have so no one can tell you what CPU you can install into your system. A BIOS update might be needed before you install a new CPU. All that's listed in that picture is the chipset. For a socket 775 motherboard, I would go all out and get a Core 2 Quad q9550 or q9650. One Caveat here is there are 2 Generations of the Core 2 lineup. You currently have a e6550 which is a 1st Generation Core 2 processor that's built on the 65nm process. You'd have to see if your motherboard is compatible with 45nm Yorkfield Core 2 processors. The q9550 is a 45nm processor. You would have to update the BIOS on your motherboard to ensure compatibility with the newer 45nm Core 2 processors. Otherwise it might be a much better idea to find a socket 1155 motherboard, a Core i5-2400 or 3470, along with 8gb of DDR3 RAM.The little hardware dealy you posted said 4gb of RAM is okay for GTA 5 but you really should have 8gb of RAM due to background tasks. Windows 10 uses a little bit more RAM than older operating systems due to more background tasks running.

Just the fact that you think you might be able to "upgrade" this old junker into a gaming computer scares me for the future of the world.

Honestly, you are just better off buying a gaming PC instead of trying to upgrade that old PC. Plan to spend around $500-$600 for a decent gaming system that will run the game well.

Why are you asking us when you have a program that tells you everything you're lacking? Although I can tell you right away you're not going to get 1080p at 60FPS on that motherboard, because no compatible CPU will be able to run the game at that.
