Panamera Break in period?
Hi, why is it that dealer staff says there is no break in period for a brand new Panamera while the manual says otherwise.

I would listen to the owners manual as that is most likely the most accurate information you can receive regarding your exact vehicle. Dealerships don't always know everything. A professor of mine went to a Subaru dealership and wanted to know the type of oil they used for their vehicles so he could determine what brands were acceptable to use. The answer he received was "Subaru oil."

DO what the MANUAL says! USE ONLY A40 engine oil! VERY IMPORTANT! OF COURSE there is a BREAK IN PERIOD! You cannot take a NEW anything to a RACE TRACK YOU NEED to Center the RINGS to the ENGINE BLOCK. USUALY there is BREAK IN OIL and then you use SYNTH OIL at the TIME the manuakl tells you!

I suspect that as it is a high performance car, fairly hard road driving (certainly anything legal), will be fine .

You are in the wrong section. This is about family and relationships, not technical electronic issues. Co to Consumer Electronics.
