How would I receive my Stimulus Check?

Some sources say it's based off of 2018 tax returns, and I was claimed under somebody's tax returns so I would get nothing if it was.

Some say it's based off of 2019 tax returns, where I would be able to receive a check. However, my tax returns were directly deposited, but the account that I used to do the direct deposit was closed as I opened a new bank account. How would I receive the check?

It's based on 2019 if that is filed, if not, then they go back to 2018.

It's based on 2019 if 2019 was filed. It's based on 2018 if 2019 was not filed. If you did not file a 2019 return, then they would base it off your 2018 tax return, so you would get nothing. If you filed a 2019 return, then they would base it off that and send the money.

They would first try to do a direct deposit. However, if the bank rejected the direct deposit because you account was closed, then they would mail you a paper check by U.S. mail in an envelope.

It is based on 2019 unless you had not filed in 2019 - then it is based on 2018.

If your account is closed - the direct deposit would be declined.

You will get a check in the mail.  It would be sent to the address that is listed on your tax return.

You might be able to log into the IRS website and enter new information for sending your direct deposit.

its based off the 2019 taxes unless you have not filed yet then it is based off 2018.

you will need to contact the IRS and fill out a change of payment form for the check.
