I have a surgery booked should I go?

Im from london and I have a surgery now booked, because they are allowing people to come who couldn’t before. I have kids and I’m scared of catching coronavirus from the hospital. I really need the surgery but at the same time scared of coronavirus. Should I go I’m so torn but I feel I really need it and can’t hold my pain

If the hospital is offering you the surgery now then they have ensured that any Covid cases are being dealt with in a separate part of the hospital from other patients.

Indeed because of the guaranteed separation, you may be safer in the hospital than in the world outside.

You should, the critical care staff work in a different area of hospitals. Normal Doctors and nursing staff are wearing the full PPE.

Go; if they are going ahead with treating  your problem. Children are at much lower risk than older people. Heed the safety advice about washing hands, etc.
