Do you ever just want to strangle the idiots who mandated low volume flush toilets? Because of the low water flow, I flush the toilet alot?

It's like that at work. I'm always finding a floater. And if you go in and flush it, then someone walks in, you have to shut yourself in the cubicle until it goes down, or they think it's yours.

No, I don't.  I've managed to become the master of my emotions and don't have to resort to immature raging.

The first low-volume toilets were admittedly pretty poor, ill-considered adaptations of existing designs to a lower volume of water.  They were dreadful and disappointed a lot of people.

But in the years since low-volume toilets have become far better than I thought a toilet could be, to the point that the performance of the better ones puts the old high-volume toilets in the shade.

If you're taking recommendations - and I really think you should, since you don't appear to be motivated to do more than complain about what is, in fact, a completely fixable situation - take a couple hundred bucks and go buy an American Standard Champion Four.  They're available in different rough-in dimensions and I think both the standard and the so-called "comfort height" which has never been comfortable to anyone I know.  The Champion Four has a very large, fully glazed trapway that can pass pretty much anything you can push out of your body without injury, and a frankly enormous flapper that dumps its water in one big gush, clearing the bowl very quickly and carrying the waste a long, long way down the pipe.  It's easily the most effective toilet I have ever installed, anywhere, of any type.

Source(s): I am a pro handyman. I install several toilets per year, both commercial and residential. I installed an American Standard in my own home. I double flush this less than I did the old five-gallon toilet in my previous home.

Consumer Reports did a rating of low-flow toilets within the last few years. Some don't handle paper or solid waste well at all, and others do just fine.

So the issue isn't with all toilets of this type, but with the badly designed ones.

If you own the house, invest in a good toilet for yourself. You might even be able to sell the one you remove.

You should watch the King of the Hill episode about low flow toilets.

15 times, like "the Donald" apparently does?

    Anyway, eat more fibre.
