What type of finish for cedar handrail outside?
The cedar handrail has a medium grain and the what is the better choice for finish? Boiled linseed oil, Cedar oil or spar varnish?

I would use yacht varnish. I wouldn't have chosen cedar as it has a tendency to splinter in time. Hopefully the varnish will eliminate that. My choice would be teak. Very expensive but doesn't splinter and lasts forever.
