They can get stale or even get weevils in them but if they are over the date that does not mean they are bad.

They will still be edible when your great grandchildren are going to college. She is wasting food.

Ramen noodles can go bad.  Check the bag for expiration date of the noodles.

Depends if they are cooked, uncooked, or made fresh. The fresh only has a short shelf life. The cheap packages you buy at the grocery store last virtually forever.

doubtful, if not wet, they are damn near indestructible

Don't the packages have a "best before" date on them? Most foods do. ANY food can go bad if you keep it long enough.

Ramen noodles would last through an apocalypse.

The oil may become rancid.  Easy to tell if that happened, they just smell a bit "off"

Eating them would not harm you they just would not taste great.

And if you happen to have a pantry moth infestation the larvae can get into the packaging but highly unlikely if she did not toss out all the grain and wheat products.

They don't "go bad" in the sense of "this will poison you", but store-bought Ramen noodles have a LOT of oil in them, and left long enough, it gets rancid.
