Is it true that we are getting a second stimulus check.?

The deal is almost signed.

No, the Republicans looked for ways to not pay as many people as possible when the first check was announced. For example if you owed the bank money the bank can take the check. So the stimulus check just went to a bank rather than the people.

Not yet so far. Probably a long shot.

Doubtful.  We don't need a stimulus check, we need to reopen.  And in some places it's happening. Finally.

As of May 14th 2020 there is no 2nd stimulus check.

There is a lot of talk and some proposals for another check, possibly an ongoing monthly amount. But the likelihood of those proposals passing both chambers of congress and being signed by President Trump seems extremely slim.

Both parties have said they are open to another round of stimulus payments but they are so far apart on how that would work that it isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Bottom line - don't get your hopes up, it would literally take an act of congress.
