That is the question of all questions that everyone would like the answer to.  Although there are teams of virologists working in several countries for a vaccine so far there has not been any breakthroughs.  We just have to accept that a vaccine may never be developed, or if one does it may take a long time or unsuitable if the virus mutates.  Sometimes these viruses will eventually be wiped out after a term, but this may take a couple of years.  In the meantime we just need to take some sensible precautions and maintain our health as best we can.  Through social distancing and better hygiene we have two states in Australia (N.T. and S.A.) that have no new infections for the past two weeks.  So it can work if enough people are committed to it.  Most of us are not keen to open our borders though, to other countries that do not have the same outcomes.

Unknown at this time. Teams of scientists, virologists, around the world are working on various methods to try to develop a vaccine. Premature to speculate who will come through with a good, reliable vaccine first, or how long it will take. Certainly, they are working their butts off, trying various methods of vaccine development to come up with a solution.

They'll put one out, but it will be mostly ineffective because the virus has mutated many times and will continue to. A vaccine might prevent, say strain 1 but do absolutely nothing for strain 2.

The true vaccine is maintaining social distancing and Vitamin D supplementation, a recent study showed that patients with vitamin D deficiencies are infected and die at a much higher rate than those with normal Vitamin D levels.
