I have a friend whom I fell in love with 20 years ago and am not sure how to tell her, and if it's too late to now?

See  my dilemma she's 80, and I'm 40, but she and I have had so many wonderful times together, without being romantic, and pre Covid19, we spent allot more time together than apart, and even now we spend at least 2-3 hours per day talking over phone, or on hangouts. Should I tell her how I feel or should I just keep things where they're at.
