The police abandoned their precinct in Minneapolis and let the rioters burn it down. Do you trust the police to protect you?
If you don't own a gun you are you should. They don't arrest rioters but I saw they arrested a CNN reporter this morning.

There is no excuse for riots. you can protest but not riot

Unfortunately for those that think the police will protect them; the police have no legal DUTY to protect anyone except Confidential Informants (Warren vs DC 1983).
That's not to say that most police don't feel personally obligated to protect the public, only that they are not legally obligated to do so.
Another reason everyone should carry a concealed handgun.

They abandoned the station for this reason.
A gas leak was reported by the fire dept and
gas department. Next time offer the entire damn
story.

The police had two choices. Stand their ground and shoot a bunch of Terrorists, or stand down and allow the Terrorists to do their thing. They chose the latter.
