Tyre pressure affects the handling of the vehicle and its stopping distance.  The correct tyre pressure ensures the optimum contact area between the tyre and the road giving the best possible grip for accelerating, braking and manoeuvring at speed. It also helps achieve the best fuel efficiency.

Low or uneven tyre pressures can make the handling unpredictable and affect directional stability.  Not only might the car deviate from where you point it, the vehicle could behave in unpredictable, unsafe ways under heavy braking.
