It makes me sad to see the country so divided?

It may be a process we have to go through for healing.  There will always be people who will not understand and others who do not have any humanity  and take advantage  of the situation

Your country has always been a ridiculous mess. It prides itself as being leaders of the free world and avidly looks down on the rest of the world as inferior. But actually the US is just a backwards, messed up, pseudo-democracy. Huge rich-poor divide, dispicable healthcare (in terms of availability to the general populace), stupidly high crime rates, abysmal state-education, ignorant pollution policies, and an orangutan for a president. 

I agree with you, it's sad. You have the foundations of a truly fantastic nation, instead the elite and the corporation's just monopolise on everyone else's liberties and rights. 

There is a lot of good in America, there is innovation and there is wealth etc. It's just not very well distributed. The same could be said on a global scale.
