Best ways to study and make a routine?

This year messed up many people, but I really want to get into studying while in Quarantine.  I'm sitting my GCSES next year and its terrifying.

I always get distracted , cannot focus or I dont even know where or how to start of studying.

One moment I realise how I'm throwing my education away and I need to get moving the other part is just a lazy side of me that I want to break free from, I procrastinate alot.

Please feel free to give any advice possible on studying and best tips.

Everyone does battle with their brain.  It fights you but as you train it, things get easier.  There are three different kinds of learners; visual, verbal and kinesthetic (tactile).  Identify your type.  Base your learning style on your type.

Then set up a schedule.  No more than 20 minutes of work before you get up and move around.  Also no distractions, none.  Use paper and a pencil (little cards are good).  Computer and phone should be in another room.

Brains process stuff in the background so take advantage of that.  If you run into a Maths problem put it aside.  If you are doing something like an essay, do an outline, put it away, do a first draft, put it away. That will allow the all important eureka moment to arrive in the shower.  Painless way to get results but for that to work you cannot do stuff at the last minute.

Do you know how you study best? Some people for example write notes; some read aloud; some read..

Create a study timetable - specific time set aside for study. Have a place this happens with minimal distractions, and stick to it - set yourself reminders and get into the routine of doing it.
