i feel like my singing sucks... how long did you take to improve?
I used to sing as a child and I loved it but after a long time i'm starting to actually record myself and train my voice so i can sing in a band or something but I'm like *CRINGE* when i hear myself at times, like I can mostly sing the right pitch but i just feel like i have not a lot of vocal control. it's either become a lot harder or maybe i'm just more self critical these days

I've been singing for over 30 years, and I'm still improving. If it really means that much to you, then take some lessons with a good teacher. Otherwise, just enjoy singing, and don't get so uptight about it.
