Atheists: Have you met any Christians who have an appreciation of music, or is it all just noise to them?

Already answered this one, putting forward Creed as proof of no appreciation of music so I will not answer your question this time.

What a silly question - I have lots of Xian friends who are musicians or who love music. 

Yes. I have met Christians who not only appreciated music, but helped create some as well. I, however, have a real distrust of religious folks who snarl at music and dancing and so forth. 

And hey, the scene from the Color Purple, at the end, when the entire world seems to be singing God's Trying To Tell You Something...come on, people.

I am a Christian, and I love music.

I play the piano, I can sing, and I have arranged a few musical pieces for piano. (whether or not they are actually playable is another issue.)

I highly appreciate musical soundtracks with very emotional scores. The contemporary hip-hop is okay, I guess. The classical scores of the past are a must-listen-to in my book. Praise music by Christian artists are also good. Barbershop quartets are also very well done.

I'm not to big on country music, or the very hard rock, but certain types of rap is tolerable. Truly, it depends on the message and context.

Badly played music, or music that just speaks immorality, that I would qualify as just noise.

Intelligence, reality, and now good taste in music. Is there anything atheists don't excel in better than Christians?

I am a fan of many genre of music, and the genres I don't favor there is  still songs I like

For example.  I am not a hard rock guy  but I like "Welcome to the Jungle"  "Back in Black" and several others

I am a music guy and if the music is well arranged, no matter the genre I like it
