Can someone guide me about daughters property law under Hindu Succession, is it a normal Civil law?

Property inherited up to four generations of male lineage is classified as ancestral property. What about Women as daughters?

Dear Manoj, Prior to the Hindu Succession Amendment Act 2005, the status of woman as daughter was that she was not entitled to any share in the coparcenary property like a son. However with the passing of the amendment to the said Act, now a woman as daughter has the same rights in the coparcenary property as a son. A daughter shall also now be subjected to the same liability in the coparcenary property as that of a son. Further, once a daughter, whether married or unmarried, inherits coparcenary property through natural succession, the property becomes her self-acquired property.

The Hindu Succession Act was amended in 2005 which removed gender discrimination allowing daughters to have the same property rights as sons.  This includes both married and unmarried daughters.  Google the Hindu Succession Act 2005 for further information.
