But it's probably not a good idea to travel anywhere, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Perhaps it's due to her worry that she & you may catch a well known virus known as 'Covoid-19'.

Buddy just bunker down and don’t go anywhere. If you HAVE to travel, convince your mom to rent an RV and drive around for a week, then come back home.

If you are able to travel anywhere outside of your country you will have to quarantine for two weeks or what ever you and your destination country have decided on when you get there and when you get back your mum's attitude of "Ain't going nowhere" is sensible
