Are parking lot numbers for apartments usually this size?

The apartment building where my grandparents grew up had numbers for their lot roughly this size as in this photo. However the first few years they lived there they were much larger.

Now their building was construction in 1962 and perhaps the older larger  numbers resembled parking lot numbers for that time?

BTW their building was the 1301-1333 Touhy Ave. Condo in Park Ridge IL. though this photo isn't it.

There is no usual for this.  Sometimes they are bigger, sometimes they are smaller & sometimes there are no # at all.

There is no standard size.  That looks pretty normal.

These numbers aren't painted by professionals meeting any common standard. Usually it's just the guy who lays down the stripes who has tripled his payday by buying some stencils.

The sole purpose is for the numbers to be readable when they are viewed from the driver's seat, even after there's been some wear.
