Is it fair to have a mother like this?
my Cousins mum abuses her and shouts at her constantly, the girl is 30 years old and lives alone but when the girl goes to her mums place her mum shouts at her for any little thing, she says that her daughter embarrasses her and sometimes beats her up. She has now tried to beat her with a hammer and has only managed to hurt her arm and chest. The girl doesn’t do anything about it but I think the mother will hurt her badly. What can she do

She can refuse to go see this insane woman and if her mother attacks her she can call the police.

First, don't go to her mothers home.
Second, report the violence to the police.
Is it fair? Fairness has nothing to do with it. It is what it is, we have no control over who births us into this world. It's a shame her mother is clearly off her rocker, but with that said, only one side of this story is being told. How do I know that the daughter isn't doing something to enrage her mother? We never know what goes on behind closed doors. Look at all the stories told where the "good mother", the "good daughter" was caring for a family member and was horribly abusing them until one day the family member retaliated horrifically.
