How would you feel if "Anonymous" was taken away and suddenly all of your comments and questions had your profile ID?

I have only been anonymous once or twice when I had an embarrassing question.

So I would be happy if Anonymous were taken away. Well, maybe everyone should be allowed one 'anonymous' a month. Lol. Sometimes we do have embarrassing questions!

On Yahoo, the comments abilities were taken away, so that's not an issue anymore.

Makes no difference to me either way.

If Yahoo would make it more difficult for people to create multiple email accounts along with doing away with the anonymous crap they would solve the trash pile problem on here!

I can't think of a time I posted anonymously.  My history is open.  My user name is my actual name, and I'm also listed in the white pages.  But I'm strange like that.  At work, I had my monitor facing the aisle, not minding if anyone could see what I was doing.

I would be fine with that. As you can see my name isn't $$$. We can choose to make alias names, so it doesn't matter if anonymous was removed.

  • aren’t we all anonymous?

I was not anon for MANY yrs. I went to almost exclusively anon because righties in this forum are the most rude people I've ever met. They began breaking the rules by attacking me personally w/ questions. This compelled me to complain w/ customer service. I never saw the askers again but it's a hassle. Plus, anon has other strategic advantages I choose not to discuss. In this respect I would be disappointed anticipating more rightie attack violations but I my contributions wouldn't change because I don't break the rules.

YA sent me the following in response to my complaints:Thank you for contacting Yahoo Customer Care.Thank you for contacting Yahoo and reporting possible abuse on our network.
