I'm tempted to give you my own advice about this but I know I should leave it to an expert. There's a great book - Authoritative Guide to Self-Help Resources for Mental Health. It's based on polls of more than 3,000 mental health professionals. The book recommended above all grief is How to Survive the Loss of a Love.
The treatments for anxiety range from therapy and medication to stress management. Don't overlook stress management, which can help even with very bad anxiety.

Sometimes, doctors prescribe one of the "benzo" drugs like Xanax for anxiety. If you're taking one of these drugs, you have to be very careful with it, and only take it as prescribed.

Sorry for your loss. All you can do is allow yourself to feel the pain. Don't try and bury it. Good luck.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Losing a loved one is always a thought process even if you had a great relationship w that person, so I totally understand if it's harder to mourn his death when you two had a rocky relationship to begin with.
This fear and pain you are feeling is something called grieving and it's a process that we all human beings go through when we lose someone.
Anxiety meds can help but there's nothing that will magically take your pain away because you lost someone important in your life and you need to work through those feelings.
I highly recommend you to look for a grief counselor. Talking w a professional can help you to ease the pain a lot.
I lost my father too a couple of years ago and it helped me immesely. Also don't be ashamed of crying. Crying is the most normal reaction when we feel sad and overwhelmed.

My sympathy on your loss. What you can do is pray. I will pray for you too. Read Psalm 23 in the Bible. Read the Gospel of John. Also look up Philippians 4:6-8 regarding anxiety. Remember the good times with your father. Count your blessings. Put on soothing music, like something classical. Have a cup of chamomile tea. Take a walk or just pace around your home. Call or text a friend. Trust God.
