Mail in votes are prone to fraud or are they an accurate representation of who the public wants?

Voter fraud of any kind is virtually unheard of and any effort to prevent something that doesn't happen is obviously a smoke screen with an entirely different motive.

The people who currently vote by mail achieved that status by applying for it. There's a difference between allowing registered voters to apply to vote by mail and just mailing out a ballot to everyone currently on the voting registers (which in most states are painfully bloated with dead people and those who've moved and reregistered in different states). Why these two idiot political parties can't meet in the middle on this is just another example of how they don't really want the issue to be resolved. They just want to use it to bludgeon each other with.

No type of voting is a perfectly accurately representation of whom the public wants, because about half of the adult public chooses not to vote (and none of the child public is allowed to vote).
However, mail in votes are a more accurate representation of whom the adult public that wishes to vote wants. In-person voting represents only the subset of adults who are able to get to a polling place, who tend to be wealthier or retired, and does represent those who have to work the entire time that polls are open or don't have cars and live too far to walk to the polling place.

It depends on how well each state sets up their mail in ballot system to assure only qualified voters vote. They also need to have a way to assure that only votes that are mailed by the designated date are counted.
