They all are types of ECONOMY, and communism has never been tried on a large scale.
In Capitalism, the means of production (land, factories) are owned by private parties and everybody competes with everybody, trying to make as much profit as possible. Wages and prices are determined by supply-and-demand, which usually means that a minority gets insanely rich at the expense of ordinary workers and the unemployed.
In Socialism and Communism, the means of production are owned by local collectives. Producing what people need is the priority. There is no involuntary unemployment. pointless competition is reduced.
In Socialism, you get paid according to your work. In the warsaw-pact countries this meant that miners were paid more per hour than doctors.
In Communism, you work according to ability and receive according to need. In full-blown Communism, money and barter can be abolished... and the state is supposed to wither away.
Which is worst? I think Communism isn't realistic, Socialism implemented from above (some call it state-capitalism) didn't work well... but capitalism devours so much resources (coal, oil, wood, water, metals) that most of them may run out before the end of the century

Capitalism equals Death!!! It exploits and spreads until there's nothing else is left but DEATH! The coronavirus death rate for the US is proof of that! The world's highest covid death rate!
Socialism is communism as extreme. It works, but it produces much less than capitalism. Most African countries are socialist, except South Africa and Nigeria. Socialism is full government control of businesses, schools and government. Little to no free enterprise
Communism is control of people. It's totalitarianism and lack of individual freedom is oppressive. Russia, China, North Korea...

It depends on whether you refer to the theory or the reality. @Lone Star gave a good brief explanation of them with the exception of socialism which is similar to Communism in that the control rests with the society however there are many versions of each and the reality is often very different than the theory.
Communism - In theory the people own everything, in reality it is the worst form of totalitarian government where a few control everything with the use of secret security forces, no basic laws or freedoms, and no religion.
Capitalism - In theory everything is owned privately and the government exerts little or no control on the accumulation of wealth. In practice no pure Capitalism exists as there is no country where the government does not exert at least some control over economic forces. Capitalism at it;s purest is similar to Communism in reality where a few rich control the economy, religion is not practiced, and rules and regulations are to the benefit of those with wealth.
Socuialism - In theory socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole. In reality many countries have been claimed to be "socialist" but the actual form it takes bears little resemblance to what it is in theory. In the US certain groups point to Venezuela as an example however in reality the country is no more socialist than the US is. The most common practical form of Socialism is what is termed a Social Democracy. The basic idea behind this is that the government provides a basic safety net for it's Citizens and they work to achieve an improved standard of living similar to that in a modern Capitalist society. In general people in these countries are happier, healthier, better educated, and more productive individually than those in other countries both Communist and Capitalist.
Since quite a few of the people on here are from the US just so you know the US consistently rates poorly when compared to other countries in the care of it's citizens and the general well being of the population. The US has one of the worst health care systems in the western world and seems to be the one country that claims to be Christian but consistently fails to even attempt to live up to the teachings of Jesus.

Capitalism = free market, less gpvernment regulation, low taxes, efficient pricing of goods and services (millions of people choose to buy something based on what they think something is worth so there's a voting mechanism aka supply and demand). Private property is a hallmark of this system. These qualities generally feuled innovation and risk-taking behavior in the US.
socialism = means different things depending on context but generally more government regulation and more redestribution of wealth from one portion of population to another; higher taxes etc. More social services etc.
communism = an implementation of a purer form of socialism where there is basically no private property. Every salary and price for a good is determined through government planning. Extremely inefficient pricing; this leads to classic problems with widescale shortages or long waiting times, sometimes many years, for goods and services.

Socialism: You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbour.
Communism: You have two cows. You give both of them to the government, and the government then gives you some milk.
Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull to start a herd.

I'm sorry the educational system let you down so badly that you have to ask that here. They should have either taught you that or taught you how to look it up for yourself instead of just telling you that capitalism is bad and socialism is good.

Socialism- government owns industry, runs things supposedly for workers' benefit.
Capitalism- the economic system is dominated by business and wealthy owners of money and property (capital).
Communism- supposed to be a classless society and no private property. In reality, a totalitarian or authoritarian system in which the Party controls the economy and restricts freedoms and self expression.

Very broadly speaking, socialism is state ownership of the means of production; capitalism is private ownership of the means of production; and communism is when the people collectively own the means of production.

Read books, use Google. Here you will get Faux Noise propaganda. They don't actually know what socialism means at all.
