You want to blame religions. Look at the definition of religion. It is something that you do everyday. You do it religiously. So what you do everyday is mass media. That is your religion and belief system. It is really responsible for how you believe. You are so brain washed and controlled to be triggered by a cycle of a few stated words that you are limited in your ability to comprehend any segment of circumstances that are outside of your brainwashed condition.

Depends on how you define "paranormal". Belief in God, angels, demons, etc. are all founded in fact, and are all therefore completely normal. And people who recognize these realities are less likely to become involved in superstition, paranormal, and other fictitious beliefs.

Established religions are not to blame for sciences lack of understanding of our world and universe. People who call other peoples beliefs erroneous without evidence to back their silly claims are more to blame. When you ask questions with the sole purpose of trying to aggravate other users, you fail to give any thought to the content of your questions and that is mainly why they are so childish and why they get you such neg feedback
Funnelweb, you do realise that you are asking us to turn away from the paranormal and worship an invisible being who floats in the clouds surrounded by other men with wings, don't you? Is there something in the air where you are?

Not at all.
People with an erroneous belief in the paranormal are those who haven't accepted Christianity but find atheistic materialism unpalatable. In particular they are repulsed by the idea that after death there is total lack of further existence.
So they want to believe in ghosts (for instance) as they are evidence of something after death. But the Bible rejects the idea that the spirits of the dead get to hang around on Earth. Those who are not saved would surely love to hang around on Earth if they could, while those who are saved don't want to and don't need to.
Jesus illustrated the fate of the saved and the unsaved in the 16th chapter of Luke's gospel (Luke 16:19-31). A rich man was sent to Hell while a poor beggar named Lazarus was carried by angels to be with Abraham. The man in Hell begged for some relief, but Abraham told him this was impossible. Then he asked that the beggar be sent back to Earth to persuade the man's brothers to amend their lives and be saved, but Abraham said this would do no good.
How are Christians responsible for the erroneous beliefs of those who reject the teaching of Jesus?
