Epoxy is *different than* super glue, and which one you use depends heavily on the application - although epoxy can do most of the things super glue can - as well as many that it cannot.
Epoxy is thicker, so you can work it a little bit, use it to fill and/or build up, etc., whereas super glue is thinner.
Super glue is better when you are trying to put small pieces together - where the epoxy will just end up making a mess - even if you are careful.

Depends. Cheap epoxy is not as good as Eastman 910.
Dollar store super glue is almost worthless, yet JB weld and Devcon Plastic epoxies are Great if used on what they are intended.
The big problem with any super glue is its film strength is very weak. UR only supposed to use the tiniest drop of it, people often use way too much.

It depends on the material you are repairing and the area it's being applied.
