Why did gm cancelled the geo brand?

Hey I am wondering why General Motors cancelled the geo brand? Was it because the cars were unreliable? I know some of the cars were pretty good. I liked the geo prism over the Chevy version of that car. The geo had leather seats while the Chevy prism didn’t have it. Can someone explain why?

The car did not sell.  It was too small for most Americans.

The Prism was a rebadged Corolla, so what Chevy version are you talking about? It was probably discontinued to save money. Just like they killed off Pontiac, Saturn, Saab, Oldsmobile and Hummer.

If you watch married with children, there are 2 cars that are made fun of:  the dodge that al bundy drives and the geo that his co-worker drives.

The geo has no power. It’s like the neon. When there’s a hill, good luck trying to make it to the top. It accelerates extremely show.

Read the Wikipedia entry about Geo automobiles. It says why.
