ALL cars depreciate with time! The showroom price of a MERCEDES is actually outrageous.  They share many components with AUDI and BMW and even with many Domestic cars using ZF trannies, steering, and other items as well! I've owned several GREAT used European cars and I LOVED THEM! They were trouble free, except for BRAKE PADS and TIRES. like any other car! They require only FULLY SYNTHETIC EUROPEAN OIL and never VALVOLINE.  Original fluids were usually PENTODIN products.  In EUROPE, they use them for TAXI cab,

NO. If you don't plan on towing anything heavy, buy a Lexus RX350 instead. Same level of luxury but higher reliability and lower repair costs.

I had a 1998 ML 350 and drove it 14 years.  I drove it real off road.     Sold it and got a 2010 GL 450   then got a 2017 GLS.   I think you will like it.   If you decide to take it off road,  get better tires.    NITTO Terra Grapplers are what I used.

nope. all mercedes are unreliable and overpriced and lose 70% of their value as soon as you get 1 door ding or scratch
