Have you ever seen an autistic person have a full-time job?

Update:

Cause I read that only 16% of them have full time jobs.

I have a nephew that is 19. He graduated with high honors from high school. Now he attends college and has a full time job. I also have a neice on the other side of the family that is 16 and she will never be able to have a job. She will always have the mentality of a child. Both have autism. There are several different types and levels!

Yes.  Our local grocery stores hires mentally and physically challenged people.

There is a local business in our area that hires many Down syndrome people. They are set up with a local adult Down syndrome care facility.

Autism can mean many things.  It has a very wide range.  To people who can handle a full time job with help to those who can be left alone, who don’t progress past the skills of a six year old.

there is a spectrum of autistic people. they are not ill nor stupid. They can range from anything that some people consider not normal. What is normal anymore....seriously... autistic people can do anything anyone else can.. Why define someone based on scepticism? that's b o l o g n a!

Yes. Many, if not most autistics are actually quite high functioning people. Autism is a data intake/communication issue. Not an intelligence issue.
