I would prefer to have myself and two others I could trust. That way one is always on guard.

There is always more strength in numbers, but then again that means more mouths to feed. I'd go the group route.

I’d go alone. Maybe I wouldn’t survive as long but at least I wouldn’t end up in a Lord of the Flies situation.
