What sort of speed?. Will this 15ft  fishing boat do. It has a 2001 mercury 40hp 4 stoke?

    The speed will be determined by the vehicle towing the boat and trailer.

    First you need to check the maximum horsepower permitted by the safety plate on the transom.  If you have a small, hand held GPS you can check the speed.

    DISPLACEMENT CRUISE, ABOUT 5 KNOTS, BUT IF IT CAN GET UP ON THE STEP, THEN MAYBE 25 KNOTS WHEN PLANING WITH 2 PEOPLE IN IDEAL WATER AND WIND..
