Why are Democrats so reluctant for Biden to debate Trump if Trump is such a liar and Biden is so genuine and truthful?

Biden and Trump will have 3 debates. A lot if people think Biden will win the debates because Trump is so whiny.

The point is, if you argue with a fool what does that make you?  There's insults that one would waste time debating over with him and Lies. All of these are how he distracts from real issues. Those things take up time and we are running out of time. America is in shambles. Just tell me how you are going to be the President for All the people and call it a day. I don't care about who is best at talking about your momma and who is better at disrespecting. Time wasters

Right now, the boilerplate answer from the left is that Biden agreeing to debate Trump is, somehow,  legitimizing him and that it brings Biden down to his level.  

 It's all BS, of course.  If Trump is a wretched opponent, then it should be readily apparent in a debate.

Because there is really no point in debating a guy like Trump. He lies so much, it's like debating an annoying brat than answers everything with: "I know you are, but what am I?" He's just going to lie and insult. Truth is simply of no importance to Trump, or his believers.
