Depends on the sensitivity, and the hair thickness. I have very thin hair, and very sensitive roots. I have to be careful. One time I left the dye on for about 5 minutes longer, and my hair was 100% dead.
Hair color cant damage your hair, what does damage it are the chemicals used to dye it.

It can do certainly. However I have been dyeing my hair for years and it hasn't done mine any harm.

Each time it does do a little damage. It strips and colors, harsh on the hair shaft.

It is. But even brushing it the wrong way can cause dead ends and breakage. So if you wanna color your hair do it but just make sure it's not too often and if it involves bleach then go to a professional because they know what they're doing.

Sometimes--it tends to disrupt the hair's cuticle, which can make it look dry or become brittle. If you are not BLEACHING your hair, but only dying it a different color, it's not going to do that much damage. Blow drying and sunlight do MORE damage than hair color.

It depends how often you color it and what shade you use. The darker the color, the more damage it will cause.
