your assumption is the mass of people in the USA is dependant on the grid?

you've obviously never had those pricks go into your account and steal.

in general there would probably be a sigh of relief if the grid went.

maybe your business people might complain but they are not or not real, americans.

seriously, you must be one of those fabouslously wealthy stooly grandfathered thru this system with an attitude like that.

die because of no electricity? hahahahahahahahahaha...funny...

USAFisnumber1: BS. A SMALL EMP attack worthy of the name would take out the electrical generation and generation infrastructure and it would take months to reactivate the ability to MAKE the replacement parts.

EMP only knocks out certain kinds of electrical devices and ONLY if they are on.   It would take a few weeks to get the grid back up and then we will be fine.

The only people that would die of no Electricity are the ones using Machines to stay alive.

That's impossible to say.  We'd have to revert quickly to 19th-century methods of doing a great many things, but we could certainly do so. Human beings lived without electricity for tens of thousands of years, after all.

No way to know.............we're an adaptable sort........people lived for centuries with zero electricity, ya know.  Conquered entire countries by flaming torch light.

about 95 percent -- 310 million.  Farming relies on methods that would be completely destroyed in an EMP attack, as does the transportation required to get food products to markets, -- and there goes your food supply.
