Why Thorium still not use as a source of energy? ?

its safer, and more reliable but then why still use the current nuclear energy which is far way dangerous?

    Thorium is used  as a source of energy in some of the nuclear reactors in India, I think.

    because there are no commercially viable thoriumreactors yet.

    On the other hand, there are over 400 conventional nuclear reactors, and the necessary very expensive infrastructure. Mining facilities, enriching factories, several types of processing facilities...
