The same thing that happens every year when the flu comes through countries. Or any of the other disease like that which make a round every few years.
We will develop ways to treat it so that few people die from it. We may develop vaccines to help prevent it. We will come up with remedies to reduce its symptoms in people who get mild cases.
And live with go on as it always has.

A lot of people would die.
Edit:
Covid-19 is not going to show up yearly - - it has been in the US all summer, killing 200,000 people - whatever anonymous idiots say.
Maybe it will be worse in the winter. Maybe not.
The key questions are:
How long until we have large supplies of a vaccine?
How long does immunity from that vaccine last?
How long does immunity from surviving a Covid-19 infection last?
- And is that dependent on the severity of the infection?
We have some idea about the first question, but the rest are all pretty much unknown. So we will have to wait and see.
