If the British people were good, why didn't the mother country immediately declare war on the Chinese when they invaded India, its old ally?

History, Politics - FAIL.    India is not our old ally.  The Raj, composed of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh was our old ally.     For this reason, we should support Pakistan against the Hindu Nationalists of the neo-nazi empire founded by the Nehru family, and all others seeking to defend their territory against this evil.

Britain is not India's "mother country".

Did they have a treaty with India saying they would defend it? Is India a member of NATO?

Since the answer is no to both questions, they was no chance whatsoever that Britain would get involved with the foreign affairs of an independent nation state.

Not only are these questions boring, but they belong in the history section, not here.

Britain's international strength came as a direct result of the valuable contributions made the from large empire which it accumulated. Today it is no longer a world power. It failed to win in the ongoing Afghanistan war, and also failed in the Basra region of Iraq, and stands no chance against China. India is a large independent country which sought and gained independence from its colonial power; its policies are no longer of any concern of the British.

We Britishers aren't overly keen on either sub-species & consequently we let nature run its course.

All this Sabre rattling being futile.

We own/dominate/rule the world.

Resistance is Irrelevant.

India wanted Independence and it got it and has been fighting wars ever since wasting the aid that Britain and other countries has sent.  It is nothing to do with Britain any more.

Britain isn't 'the mother country' of India.  India was a completely independent country. The British were able to take control of India mainly because India was not united. The British signed treaties and made military and trading alliances with many of the independent states that made up India. The British were very effective at infiltrating these states and gradually taking control.

Britain was an invader.
