I have gotten carsick in the car all my life, if I tried to read or look down, not out of the window, or on curvy twisty roads.

I know your balance system uses your ears and eyes.  Once, when I went to an optometrist to get glasses (I have double vision), he asked me if I was bothered by carsickness.  He said that he was and that he never saw anyone with double vision who DIDN'T have it.  It is miserable.  However, if I drive, I won't get sick.  If I am not driving, but if I can sit in the front seat, it is better.  The meds they have for it will make you sleepy.

If you sit in the front seat you won't get as sick with the scenery coming at you as you will in the back with it zipping past a side window.  In the front, try tilting the seat slightly back and lean on the headrest so your head and neck won't be as vulnerable to sudden turns or rough roads.  Sometimes cradling your head with a pillow helps.  DO NOT try to read.

Of course, driving will help a lot.  Most sickness happens when you're the passenger and cannot anticipate what the car will do next.

If it has happened all your life it must be normal.

Why no Meds ? People with travel sickness take over the counter Meds .

    No one suggested it?

Not looked at the internet ?

I'm ok as long as I don't read in the car. Assuming you are the passenger, wear an eye mask and see if it helps. It's usually not the movement causing the problem, it's seeing the movement that does.
