It's a hard choice because I like so many and also it depends on my mood. For example, if I want something spicy hot, I would go for Thai,  Mexican, or Indian food. If in the mood for noodles or pasta, then it's Chinese, Italian, or Japanese.  If I want something meaty and hearty, then American or German food.

OK, try to follow this to the end. After James Beard, my favorite cuisine is American. Beard wrote cookbooks and essays that co-opted French, Italian, and Belgian cuisine as American. Half of the recipes in his cookbooks can be found, under another name, in a reputable French Bistro. I admire what he did because he at least doubled the number of dishes in American cuisine, but it would have been nice to give credit where credit was due. I faithfully use his food processor pie crust recipe every time.

Italian is my favorite. The taste plus I lived in Italy for several years and got to experience the real thing.

The one that I haven't tried yet. Food can get boring so when I take a culinary journey to another country it's something new and it usually doesn't disappoint. That first time I made chicken shawarma, it was SO GOOD. It's pretty easy to travel the world in your kitchen. Take a trip to Greece and have a salad. Go to Afghanistan via your kitchen and make some naan bread.
